"Dirt": Probably The Last And Only Time You'll Ever See That Show's Title In A Headline Here

Posted by Bryan Christian

We admit it: we kind of liked Dirt, the gossip mag drama that was just cancelled by FX. It was incomprehensible sometimes, yeah, and dumb, and occasionally made us want to take a shower. But something about it appealed to the sleazier angels of our nature. Was it the way that it tried to be a Law & Order for the 21st Century, gutting real-life tabloid news as fodder for its slightly-fictionalized version of Hollywood? (L.A. & Order, perhaps?) Maybe it was the unpredictable string of cameos: Vincent Gallo, Paul Reubens, Stormy Daniels, and most famously, a game-for-girl-on-girl Jennifer Aniston (see above). Or was it the fact that we found the whole plotline with Courteney Cox having trouble getting herself off unnervingly raw and surprisingly hot.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, riiiiiight; prolly it was that.

Good luck Court; give Dave a hug for us!
