Done with Palin? Aren’t we all, Tina? Aren’t we all?
Tina’s
serious, though. She’s not sure how long she can keep up this Palin
charade. Playing a pseudo-feminist, inarticulate, bulldog,
hockey-mom every mother-effing Saturday night can wear on a girl.
Especially when there’s the chance that said lipstick-wearing maverick
might just make it to the White House.
Tina is tired, and maybe a little scared . . . So, maybe it's a good thing that she hasn't heard whether she's playing Palin this week?
It's the question dominating the political scene: When will Tina Fey be back on "Saturday Night Live"?
"I don't know," Fey said.
Over coffee Tuesday during a rare morning off from her NBC sitcom, "30 Rock,"
Fey noted that "SNL" will be on live this Saturday, as well as airing a
9:30 p.m. EDT Thursday edition, but as to whether she will take part in
either broadcast, "I haven't heard." (A spokesman for the NBC late-night comedy show echoed her comments.)
As we noted earlier today, the magnificent Fey tells TV Guide:
"We're gonna take
it week by week. If she wins, I'm done. I can't do that for four years
[ . . . ] And by 'I'm done,' I mean I'm leaving Earth."
Us too, Tina. Us too.
