A&E is in production on a reality show starring Steven Seagal, who apparently "has been working on and off as a fully commissioned deputy with the Jefferson Parish County Sheriff's Office for nearly two decades. One of his stints found him assisting with recovery efforts during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005." Nice.
The only thing cooler than watching a reality show about Steven Seagal arresting bad guys would be to actually get arrested by Steven Seagal -- but like for being way too drunk on Bourbon Street or something, not running from the cops, or any such situation where we might have to sacrifice our ribs. My God, this is even better than when we found out about Steven Seagal's energy drinks.
Seriously, we can't wait for this show (but will have to until late 2009), and it's cool that it's in New Orleans. Seagal, always a mensch, says:
I decided to work with A&E on this series now because I believe it's important to show the nation all the positive work being accomplished here in Louisiana.
Good for him. Let's just see the next hurricane try to fuck with Steven Seagal.
