"Girl Next Door" Holly Is Psyched To Be Single

Posted by Olivia Purnell

Although the former Head Girl In Charge won’t discuss her split from Chriss Angel, the bunny does have some pretty strong opinions about men in general

Here’s what Holly has to say:

"I'm just not interested in dating anybody [. . . ] I'm never dating anybody again.  I don't need a man. I'm really happy with myself and being with my friends."

We’d like to suggest that Holly rent Waiting to Exhale and vibe on Angela Bassett’s character for a while.  Remember how Angie got real pissed and stomped around in her gorgeous lingerie gathering all her cheating man’s clothes.  Then she soaked all his nice suits in gasoline and made them a bonfire in his BMW?  Remember?  Angela is amazing.

Holly:  Just have a shot of brandy, channel Mary J Blige’s "I’m Not Gonna Cry," and burn the Mindfreak’s janky wardrobe.  We think you’ll feel better . . .

We’re actually not that worried about Holly.  She seems a little down on men, but she’s getting back to work with a quickness.

"I'm focused on forwarding my career," she said. "I'm working on producing my own shows. Girls Next Door was a great place to start but it was somebody else's show. I'm just ready to move on."

Mary J Blige would be so proud!

Lindy Parker has worked as a ghostwriter, editor, dance instructor and a purveyor of dreams, one beer at a time. She loves Charles Dickens and Gabriel Garcia Marquez and also, straight-to-video releases with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It's possible she reads more teen fiction than she should. She hails from Los Angeles, her hometown and soul mate, but she lives in Brooklyn, the fling she'll never forget.

Olivia Purnell left Ohio for sunny Los Angeles; then found that she couldn’t ignore New York City’s call, and brought herself to Brooklyn where she has worked with GenArt, BlackBook, the School of American Ballet, and finished an M.A. in Creative Writing from N.Y.U. She loves one-liners with sting and hates the stench of the subway in the summer. That said, she can’t get enough of either.

She just earned her MFA in Creative Writing and has been published in Beeswax literary journal. She is unable to resist good writing or bad TV.
