• "Battlestar Galactica": CNN Explores The Glory Of "Frak"

  Here's what we love about Battlestar Galactica's f-word replacement "frak" getting traction in the real world: the Sci-Fi channel has yet to get any complaints on it. Co-executive producer and writer Michael Angeli, an Emmy nominee for the episode "Six of One," said using the word in scripts is satisfying for anyone who's been censored over the years. "It's a great way to do something naughty and get away with it," Angeli said. "One of the things that television shows do constantly is they battle with Standards and Practices over what can be seen and what can't be seen, what can be said and what can't be said. "A lot of our characters are soldiers. That whole sort of view and that subculture, that's how they speak. They're rough and tumble, and they're bawdy and they swear." He said producers have gotten no complaints from SciFi owner NBC Universal or the Federal Communications Commission. Now, if only they can figure out a substitute for full-frontal nudity...   Just in time for Comic-Con, NBC's online store is selling a limited run of -- wait for it -- Battlestar Galactica toasters. Not only is the Battlestar logo on the front, but the thing actually burns an image of a Cylon into your bread. This gear site seems to think the item will become a rare collectible that will rise in value forever. But that's if you keep it in the box. • Another "Battlestar" TV Movie Greenlit, Says Boomer

  But can you really trust a Cylon? Actually, she's not even so sure herself. "I just heard about the first Battlestar movie being greenlit," said Grace Park, "Battlestar's" Cylon No. 8, yesterday by phone from Vancouver, Canada. "A TV movie, but still! But this -- it's like, yeah, it's over but we're ready to move on but nobody's manager or agent has been called. It's supposed to start in August." Let's hope they can get the rest of the cast together for at least a couple of the three proposed TV movies.   It's been a tough slog for BSG fans of late. With so much ground to cover before the series finale approaches -- setting up a lasting human-Cylon allegiance is just one of the many plot threads that needs tying up -- there have been more than a few forced confrontations and short-lived red herrings.
