Has the time finally come to acknowledge how ridiculous the media frenzy surrounding Michael Phelps's pot incident really is? We were kind of hoping that was the strategy Matt Lauer would employ during Phelps's first interview since the picture of his now infamous bong hit surfaced in the tabloids. You know, can we all sit down and laugh about the absurdity of the notion that smoking pot once at a party negates winning fourteen Olympic gold medals. Instead, Lauer compared the bong hit to getting arrested and charged with DUI...

Mother of Octuplets Rakes in The Ratings

On Tuesday, Nadya Suleman, mother of eight brand new babies (to add to her initial six kids) sat down with Ann Curry on Dateline. 11.3 million viewers tuned in to watch their little chat. That’s nearly twice Dateline’s usual 6.2 million. People are dying to know what would drive a lady to pump out 14 babies when she apparently has no immediate source of income and no partner with whom to share the responsibility.

Dateline’s “To Catch a Predator” Should Probably Be Renamed “To Catch and Release a Predator”

Dateline’s TCAP has that highway accident factor. You. Just. Can’t. Look. Away. It’s too awful and gratifying to watch those poor skuzzy (and uncomfortably normal-looking) pedophiliac jerk-offs walk straight in to a Chris Hansen loaded SWAT-trap. P.S: How creepy/awesome is Chris Hansen.

But now it seems as though Hansen and his backup dancers (aka the police), might have to release all those predatorial bastards back into the wild. Here’s why . . .
