
Woo-hoo! This is programming we can get behind! First off, IFC picked up the web funfest Food Party, as we directed someone - anyone - to do! Now we feel kinda powerful, even if we had nothing to do with this!
But IFC has more good stuff in its 2009-2010 programming schedule - The next cool show IFC has on the slate is Dinner With The Band, hosted by Sam Mason the "rock star pastry chef" of the much-hyped Tailor Restaurant here
in NYC. Mason
is a very cool fellow who makes very cool food, and we would stop using
the word "cool" if we could, because it's not descriptive at all, but
everything about this show, which started as a web series, is just so
damn cool. Watch Sam make migas with Tokyo Police Club. We love migas!
Finally, there's the series Monty Python: Almost The Truth (The Lawyer's Cut),
which features interviews with the living members of Python and guest
celebrity interviews. Now is this somewhat similar to the Ovation special where John Cleese pontificates about comedy? Probably. Is a lot of it info you can find in Michael Palin's diaries
from the period? Almost certainly. But it's Python - and we will
support and promote anything Michael Palin does, for personal reasons
we'll get into after the jump...
