Um...the beginning of time?

Who Would You Rather...Jack Bauer or "The Mentalist"?

Is it us, or is Patrick Jane just a watered down, slightly less death-defying Jack Bauer? They both make a hobby of disregarding protocol, and both have those hard-to-pull-off blonde man-highlights. As we see it, the primary difference is that Simon Baker spends more time smiling -- we feel like his eery I-know-all-things grin is attempting to out-creep the Kiefer Sutherland death glare. Also, it's hard for us to imagine Jack Bauer wearing a three piece suit. Still, in a sexy-off, we feel like there's really no contest...

Oh, No -- Kim Bauer's Back!

Much to the dismay of 24 fans, it appears that Jack Bauer's daughter Kim will be appearing in the show's next season.

"24": Jack Bauer Went To The Bathroom Once. And It Got Cut

From Comic-Con via James Hibberd at the Hollywood Reporter:

"In all fairness, we shot a scene where [Bauer] was going to raid an office, and he ran into a washroom and came out nine seconds later much relieved... They cut it out. So whenever they cut to the White House, Jack is taking a pee. And he’s also getting something to drink and eat."

See the Preview for "24: Exile"

Check out the video above for an early look at 24: Exile, the November TV movie that will serve as a prequel to 24's next full season. Set against the inauguration of a new president and a military coup in Africa, Exile seems to resemble a serious George Clooney political thriller as much as it does the usual high-flying antics of Jack Bauer and friends. Still, there's apparently plenty of (spoiler alert!) shooting and torture and the old ultra-violence. The only question remaining is, where the hell is Chloe?
