So former presidential candidate John Edwards (D-Nowhere) has been banging a woman who he met when her company was making "webisodes" like the one above for his now-defunct 2008 campaign. And he's gonna be on Nightline tonight talking all about it.
We know a lot of people are disappointed to hear this about Edwards, who's always seemed like a standup guy and in love with wife who has the cancer and all. But despite how great he was back in 2004, we're frankly of the opinion that he shot himself in the foot for life the minute he agreed to drop his "Two Americas" schtick and be John Kerry's vice-candidate. So, if we had any hopes for tonight's interview being some sort of Hail Mary, save my rep sort of thing, it's this: we hope for Martin Bashir's sake that he gets to host and act scornful; he needs a few points with the ladies these days.
