couple of really big things happen this time of year - we commemorate
the start of the baseball season and the death and resurrection of
Jesus Christ. Some people might have those things in reverse order of
importance, but to them we'd point out we never saw Jesus hit a
curveball.
In celebration of baseball and Easter, ABC is tonight airing It's The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown and Charlie Brown All-Stars back to back from 8-9 p.m. The latter is a real treat for Peanuts fans, as Charlie Brown All-Stars hasn't
been on network tv since 1982. We always love when Charlie Brown and
his team of underachieving malcontents take the field - any team whose
best player is a beagle has no shot whatsoever. In Charlie Brown All-Stars Linus
hammers home the haplessness of the squad by quoting statistics to
Charlie - "last year our opponents scored three thousand runs. We
scored six." But, of course, numbers can never make Charlie Brown give
