We Officially Like "Secret Diary Of A Call Girl"

Enough about Weeds! (Well, maybe not.) We can now officially say that we like Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Maybe even love it a little. Why? Well, we weren't sure at first; the premiere ep was a little uneven, and last night's was so-so. But the second ep was really fine -- funy, farcical, and just slightly sad. And more importantly, it's becoming clear that like everyone else who makes lots of money and isn't a douche about it, Belle du Jour has respect for the help.

4:20 Update: "Weeds" and "Call Girl" Both Totally Scored Monday Night

Showtime's pot-themed comedy series "Weeds" started its fourth season off on a real high, becoming the network's most-watched telecast on record.

Meanwhile, the new series "Secret Diary of a Call Girl," which led out of "Weeds" on Monday night, gave the network its most-watched series debut since 2004, when Nielsen began reporting Showtime ratings separate from Showtime Plex.

"Weeds" averaged 1.3 million total viewers at 10 p.m. Monday, which broke the record held by a Season 2 episode of "Dexter" (1.2 million) that aired last year. An 11 p.m. repeat of "Weeds" averaged 406,000 viewers, according to Nielsen.

We get a warm feeling in our heart everytime weed and hookers beat out serial killers, don't you?

Sho.com's got episodes one and two of their sexy -- yeah, after last night, we'll definitely vouch for that -- BBC import Secret Diary of a Call Girl --- but as you might imagine, we wouldn't recommend watching them at work unless you happen to actually be a hooker. Or a TV executive.
