From the old Trio show Pilot Season, which also starred Andy Dick and David Cross. Pilot Season is being brought back as webisodes by My Damn Channel , which is airing the first two episodes today. Silverman and Fisher are very funny here being catty with each other, with Isla calling Sarah's arms "apelike."

More than just being funny, though, it's Isla Fisher and Sarah Silverman together. And now that Isla's converted to Judaism for hubby Sascha Baron Cohen, Isla Fisher and Sarah Silverman together is, for the Jews, a very holy thing.

Looked for a while that The Sarah Silverman Program might be done, due to a dispute over cutting the show's budget. Gay TV to the rescue:

The Sarah Silverman Program" will be back for a third season on Comedy Central, following the resolution of four-day day standoff over planned budget cuts.The cable channel has ordered a 10-episode season of its signature live-action series, which will now be co-financed with gay-oriented sister cable network Logo...Details on how the financial responsibility and the window sharing will be divided between the two partners are still being worked out, but sources said with the combined financing, "Sarah Silverman" will have a budget a tad higher than last season's $1.1 million per episode.

Hoo-ra. Silverman, perhaps not wanting to sound like a money grubber in the current financial climate, was gracious upon hearing the news:

"We're happy," Silverman said. "All we ever wanted was just to make our show. Nothing fancy -- just our show."

But can't you just hear her revving up to make fun of this partnership? Not only will both stations air the show, but in they'll cross-promote - perhaps using Brian and Steve, Sarah's gay-couple neighbors on the show. Logo's trying to take advantage of Silverman's popularity in the gay community, in part due to quotes like this in Out, from 2007:

The people -- both the Republicans and the pussy Democrats -- that won't stand up for gay rights have made the idea of marriage ugly to me.

and this:

This good news makes us all want to go to the gay rodeo. Of course that's a euphemism. Never mind.

She's at least pissed enough about it to essentially cede today's election to the Democrats and start talking about 2012, but she's not so pissed that she'll pass up on any free publicity that SNL or Tina Fey might give her between now and then. There's that dash of high-school bitchy!

-- While we're on weird election stuff, there was a rumor that Joe the Plumber got to make out with an unnamed SNL cast member at the afterparty this weekend, but a close examination of the original note on the subject seems to indicate that whoever broke the story wouldn't know an SNL cast member if they walked right up to them and called them "an ignorant slut." [via Videogum] UPDATED: This story gets even more ridiculous.

-- Fox has cancelled King of the Hill, but ABC still has creator Mike Judge's new animated family show, The Goode Family, on the burner for next year -- and they might even spring for a few more seasons of King of the Hill while they're at it, which would make King the second used sitcom they'd bought off another network after Scrubs. Come on, guys, was Cavemen really so bad that you've just given up?

-- We love how TV Guide asks whether Jennie Garth will be coming to the new Melrose Place reboot, even though the answer -- no -- is, like, a sentence into the article.

-- Sometimes we feel ancient because we remember how great Carson was. And now someone's gonna write a book about how much of a douche he actually was. Thanks.

-- And speaking of crying-on-the-inside talk show hosts, we missed this when it happened, but former couple Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel had a weird, awkward reunion on his show last week. Between this and Kimmel's kind of sadsack interview in GQ this month, we're sort of loving this guy a little.

-- Seth Meyers may have let slip plans for an Obama guest spot on Saturday Night Live the weekend before the election. But, then again, the rightwinger guy who claims to have heard this from an unnamed aide to Governor Sarah Palin also claims to know that John McCain consulted Lorne Michaels about picking Governor Palin as his running mate, so, you know, moron.

-- A tennis instructor was claiming to have been involved in the conspiracy known as David Duchovny's humpin' around until she backed off those claims suddenly. She now claims to have been fucking the planet Venus.

-- "Great Schlepper" Sarah Silverman bombed big time in London earlier this week, in front of Brit comedy luminaries like David Walliams and the guys from The Boosh. Turns out no one in England knows what a vagina is.

-- Nerds webwide are rejoicing the full season pickup for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles... except the ones that believe it cost them Dollhouse.

-- Thursdasy night's ratings continue to get interesting, except for the part where the subpar and insulting Eleventh Hour is now beating Life on Mars. Maybe give Michael Imperioli a shave or something?

Sedaris is Back, Bitches!

Listen, we love the ladies of comedy. If you hadn’t noticed, we’ve had raunchy Sarah Silverman and Palin-perfect Tina Fey on the brain lately. At a time of economic distress and political upheaval (read: oh shit we have no money and don’t understand why), these two women have soothed us with their acerbic one-liners and their dirty judgy jokes. Their election comedy has really eased the hearts and minds of the American people. But despite that . . . something has been missing. We’ve been longing for the perfect combo of Silverman’s vulgar antics and Fey’s knowing wit. Who could fill that void?

Amy Sedaris, that’s who!

She’s been away from the blinding glare of the spotlight for a while; so we’ve included a picture of her boobs above, in case you forgot what they looked like. Apparently, Sedaris and her breasts will be returning to television soon!

Although Sedaris has been busy promoting her book I Like You and filming an extended guest run on TNT’s The Closer, she somehow found time to have a little chat with 20th Century Fox TV. The Hollywood Reporter says:

One of the most sought-after comedians, Amy Sedaris, has inked a deal with 20th Century Fox TV to create, write and star in a comedy series project.

Sedaris will pen the script with her writing partner Paul Dinello, who also is attached to direct.

The project will be taken out to the networks in the next few weeks, with Sedaris and Dinello hoping it will land on cable.

Here, here! Perhaps a little more bad-girl Sedaris to celebrate the good news:

Sarah Silverman is everywhere. What with tonight’s premiere of Season 2B of The Sarah Silverman Program, her recent kissy-face exploits with Jimmy Kimmel, and the above educational video “The Great Schlep,” it seems like we can’t get away from Sarah. Her mix of pseudo-innocence and nasty girl humor creeps up on us in our sleep. We find ourselves giggling and sighing “Oh Sarah, you’re too much” in the middle of the night. True story.

In case you haven’t seen it yet, her latest viral video, “The Great Schlep,” produced by the Jewish Council for Education and Research, asks young Jews to persuade their grandparents to vote for Barack Obama. She says bubbies and Nanas should vote Obama because:

“Barack Obama’s foreign policy is much more stabilizing than John McCain’s. He’s much better for Israel. He wants to protect social security. His brisket is beyond. It’s . . . beyond. He’s circum super . . . circum super-sized”

All of which is true.

OMG, you guys, word on the street is Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman are back together! And they ain’t shy about it either. Sarah and Jimmy have been out, playing grabass all over town:

. . . they attended pal Howard Stern's Oct. 3 wedding at New York City's Le Cirque restaurant, where Kimmel was spotted wrapping his arms around Silverman's waist and playfully grabbing her backside in plain view of photographers.

Love it! Hopefully with these two getting some, we’ll get a little more of this . . .

Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman and Eva Longoria Parker have all been shortlisted for the prestigious prize at this year's TV awards--but Hatcher's name was noticeably missing from the semifinalists.

Web site GoldDerby.com reveals that the other actresses vying to take home the award include America Ferrera, Tina Fey, Christina Applegate, Mary-Louise Parker, Sarah Silverman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and (Ed: Hooray!) Pushing Daisies star Anna Friel.

Well, that's a fine bunch of candidates and we frankly don't know which one could have possibly taken... um... Sarah Silverman? Oh, hang on a sec, we didn't do that right.

Some actual big-name stars have signed on as panelists for TBS' remake of Match Game, the campy '60s-to-'70s game show in which contestants had to guess how celebrities would fill in the blanks of a sentence. In addition to Sarah Silverman and Norm MacDonald, the pilot episode will include Rashida Jones, Kids in the Hall's Scott Thompson, Bob Einstein (also known as Super Dave Osborne) and Reno 911!'s Niecy Nash.

The original Match Game helped make household names of such "personalities" as Brett Somers, Charles Nelson Reilly, Nipsey Russell and Fannie Flagg. No doubt these modern celebs will be encouraged to continue in their tradition of answering with salty double-entendres -- especially since the show is being produced by Robert Smigel, best known for creating Saturday Night Live's "TV Funhouse" and Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog.
