Director of Sales/Senior Account Executive NY, NY

Position Description
The Director of Sales/ Sr. Account Executive will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for driving and overseeing advertising sales for Nerve.com. The right candidate will be an active part of the sales process – working closely with the West Coast Sr. Account Executive, maintaining key accounts, generating new sales leads and opportunities, developing new agency and client relationships, preparing and presenting proposals, closing business and hitting sales goals.

The ideal candidate will be a resourceful, highly motivated and experienced sales person who will be able to further develop and help grow our sales revenue. He/she will have a strong understanding of the Nerve Media brand, its readership and will be well connected within the online advertising industry buying community.

Requirements
• Online Advertising sales experience
• Strong, preexisting relationships with media buying agencies and clients, particularly in verticals such as Entertainment and Liquor
• Advanced skills in handling multiple opportunities at once, making sales calls, creating marketing materials, analyzing data, traffic and inventory, setting and meeting goals, time management, negotiating, problem solving and decision making
• Conceptual thinker with strong analytic, communication, written, management and interpersonal skills
• Perceptive listener who can hone in on client’s needs and work seamlessly with in-house team to develop creative custom solutions that match our brand and our client's needs
• Highly organized, self-motivated and able to work independently but take direction when required; results-driven and responsible
• Ability and willingness to travel and entertain locally in order to develop relationships to win key business
• Proven success in initiating and maintaining sales relationships and closing business, building a solid client base and meeting and exceeding goals
• Enthusiastic personality with skill set to become a Nerve brand ambassador to prospects and clients
