10.George Pitts I met June and Helmut in Biarritz, France, one
heady year around 1995 at a photography festival Vibe was
invited to participate in. I wish Newton had photographed more
women
of color, but he's been
inspiration to all of us who revere women. He was one of my only contemporary
art heroes.n°
