news. Even though he was up there in age, he still seemed to have
the vibrancy of youth. He worked constantly, up to the end. For
me, he was simply the best, my mentor and inspiration. I always
had
a desire to meet him. It happened when we were
both staying at one of his
favorite haunts, the Royal Monceau in Paris. It was a dream come true.
