The title "The Consummation" says it all.

The CW, the semi family-friendly network behind hits like The Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl, is upping their NSFW game with a new tactic to showcase their censored content to more mature viewers looking for a little more action. The network is streaming a director's cut of the series Reign, a Game of Thrones-esque period series, featuring too-hot-for-TV sex scenes. The stream went up online Friday, after Thursday night's episode "The Consummation."

While we don't want to discredit some solid shirtless thrusting, the hype was short-lived, after reviews of the director's cut revealed that the network only provided two uncensored scenes that were PG-13 at best. A network rep told Entertainment Weekly that they had no intention of adding R-rated content, but rather, offer a more sexually intense edit of the existing program. If the streaming version of the episode does prove more popular, it could be an open door for more of our favorite series to push the boundaries of censors. But if that's the case, we're going to need a lot more than a woman's bare shoulder blade.
