Loved the "Sweaty Air Poems," and would like to see more like it on the site. The poems had a really strange, affecting combination of gritty, slangy wording with classical, almost mythical structures and allusions. Truly "literate smut."

The poetry written by Yusef Komunykaa is extremely creative in thought and phrase. I absolutely love his work. I am a poet myself and love poetry where you must read between the lines but feel the moment the poet is trying to express so vividly. He really has great ability in doing this and giving the reader a chance to use his or her own imagination in the process. It is truly a literary achievement that he is able to do both things at the same time. Meaning ...express himself but make you think. I truly enjoyed it!!!!
