Reader Feedback on "VoiceBox IV: Men, Smut & Shame: Wrestling with Testosterone"
Ugh. This boysclub round table discussion had me dizzy with the sickening amounts of testosterone. Very little gets accomplished when little boy egos are so fragile. Thank god Tricia was there to steer the conversation towards a more righteous path - genuine open discussion, free of accusations and ridicule. Nonetheless, some interesting points were made. Let's hope that Nerve has the wits to make a sequel with a more diverse panel this time around.

I can't seem to find the message board, but my two cents is that Matt Labash is the most fuckable guy on that panel. Like that catchy pop tune "Heroin is so passe", we might as well substitute heroin with the word porn. PORN IS SO PASSE and so is sex. I'm getting sick of it. Freaking McSex everywhere. And just for the record, I get the real stuff every night, multiples if I want, and even though he won't stray because I have big boobs and I like sex, I even let him have anal. (BDSM bored me too.)

I am about half way through the discusion on smut but I had to stop and make a comment. Yes, sex workers are a result of sexual abuse. I am an example myself. What makes a person get naked and strip in front of horny men or have sex with three people at the same time on video? Well it isn't a happy, healthy, and normal childhood.Point is I haven't met a stripper or porn actress yet who wasn't fucked with at some point in her life. It leaves a mark and it doesn't take a trained eye to see it. Leave children out of porn. Protect children from abuse. The first chance you give them the "church going folk" (often in denial about the fact they like little boys) will take away your right to choose how you live your life. Make something illigal it only gets more popular. We know what is right and wrong. Sex isn't wrong but abuse and taking away a persons childhood is. Now I can't change the fact that I have a kink, so I feed it, but no one gets hurt in the process. My only concern about porn is how my son will be introduced to it and whether it will give him a distorted view of sex. Fake tits make me sick and if you think about squeezing a big hard sack of fluid implanted under a womans stretch beyond capacity breast you'll see where I am coming from. Porn does perpetuate horrors like implants and bad dye jobs, but in general I think if you have a basic sense of sexuality it can be fun and healthy, in moderation of course.

I am 41 and my girlfriend is 30. We enjoy some porn, esp when directed by a woman. Some of the amateur videos are very arousing. She really likes to sit on our sheet covered sofa after showering and sipping a strong mixed drink as she plays with me and nibbles on my right ear lobe as I tweak her nipples. She keeps her heels on as do the porno babes and she often kneels before me to caress my balls and work on her oral skills. We have a secluded back yard and pool deck with mats and mirrors to have our own video. We try some of the nerve site sex positions and she has a fantasy of inviting her girl pal over for fun. She knows that I would love to see her with a woman in various sex positions. She really loves to be on top of me, her back arched, her firm creamy buns grasped and caressed before I slap her cheeks to push her over the top, her nipples rubbing my chest. The hottest videos often have two young babes ravishing a boyfriend as the two compete for his thick curved stalk, turning into a pulpy glistening saliva covered pole. His tongue is buried into the blonds pussy and the other has mounted him, ready to bounce up and down like a piston, as she thrashes around and yells Oh God Im cumming. The two girls kiss and fondle each other for a real nonacting orgasm. It jes don get no better than this!

As a woman in her twenties, we are not ignorant to the male affinity to porn. Most woman see the relationship between men and their porn to be something kept private. Though I am sure that men feel a sense of shame concerning their affection for it,the shame woman feel concerning their affection for porn is far greater. So I must say, stop complaing and be greatful for yet again standing on the other side of the great glass ceiling.

Proof that girls are the civilising sex. Matt Labash is excerable. The way he brougt up Trish and John's HIV status was so low down. Thanks Tricia for introducing personal honesty into the discussion. I may find a lot of what John produces really hard to watch, but after reading him here I have only the utmost respect for you two. You practive what you preach and live with the consequences. These educated white boys are THE WORST. Why would anyone want to have sex with them! SO fucked up and self-absorbed.

Really interesting for me. Porn always has been my isolated "sin," no sharing or communicating about it. That approach has left me open to denial and rationalizing. Great to encourage guys like me to open up and air out the fantasy machine. I'd be interested in women's reactions to all this---even if it hurts...

If you were trying to hold an intellegent discussion on men and pornography, than what the fuck were you thinking when invited a mean-spirited loud-mouthed ASSHOLE like Matt Labash???? I can appreciate the fact that you might want to include some folks that would make a case for sexual conservatism, but clearly you could have found somebody else who could have argued that point intellegently, the way Ian Gittler did. I read VoiceBox for intellegent discussion, not Ricky Lake style name-calling and shouting matches. Peter

Rufus is such a wannabe -- and I loved when Jerry Stahl was called on his pompous bragging of heroin addiction. Like it's some great feat to become addicted to herion! NUS
