FICTION

Reader Feedback on "Slippy for President"
I hadn't realized that this was a piece of fiction when I first read it. It's very good, which isn't surprising, considering the general level of quality present at nerve. It's also a different take on drug use than I've read in awhile. It lacks all those hackneyed 'Trainspotting' style things, you know, gritty urban detail and the like, that have become so popular. Lastly, I've been a 'nerd' for as long as I can remember, but the nicest girls to me in high school and college were either the fat, zit-faced social rejects, or the pretty cheerleaders/eventual sorority girls, both of whom I will defend to my dying day.

Grant Stoddard should be ashamed of the way he betrayed the people who welcomed him to Leather Retreat!!! Nerve apprently supports tabloid style reporting that is less then honest.

That was a gorgeously descriptive portrayal. More people should be reading you stuff.

Fantastic story, really capturing how fun ecstacy is, and the power of it to bring people together. Long before the right-wingers decided all drugs are bad. I mean, the same people who are saying just say no, are the people who should be pulling the sticks out of their collective asses and saying yes now and then.

This is a very touching and beautiful essay. I really dig that Nerve comes through with stuff like this. (You should run a spell-check before you publish, though. There are a half-dozen spelling and punctuation mistakes in this.) It's still great reading.

Wow, that was beautiful. The author did an excellent job at balancing the eroticism of the events with the thought and feelings going on during them. Very different, and intriguing.

This is my favorite story I've read on Nerve. I have my selfish reasons: being a female engineering major I have always dealt with the nerd factor so Slippy being liked for being himself made me smile, and also having never done drugs at all but being curious about ecstasy, the description did a lot for me. Mostly though, I liked the lightheartedness of the story, the confidence of Slippy, and how quickly the author was able to let me connect with the main character. I hope to read more of his work.

I wish one of the blonds had stripped the writer down and as both were naked, the girl had shown the other two how to take charge, kneel down and slowly tease, lick and look up as she ever so slowly engulfs his jewel. Many men forget to ask their girl to enjoy his balls as she grasps and spanks his buns, extending foreplay which women love to engage in. She can then push him back onto the bed so that she can slowly mount her man so that his cock can rub up and down her crotch before she begs for some very hot screwing.

THis is why Casteneda could ruin half the planet with a book on drug use. Tame like a lion in the usual straight chains

That's beautiful writing, the way you took something that could be construed as erotic and turned it gushy, but without cheesing it up. Nicely done.

One of two items that I've read on Nerve which have been disturbingly true to life...brought back a lot of fond college memories. Thanks

When I was in college, I know for a fact that I missed a number of opportunities like this. Senior Women who thought I was cute and funny and harmless, like a little brother (I am a little brother) and would say anything to each other while i was there. They would involve me in avant guard dance performances, make me rate which bra was the best, get me drunk and then... I would have to go somewhere. To bed, to study, to work in the studio, to work, etc. And nothing ever happened with them. I watched porn with three of them once, but then a girl in my class came by and I went off with her. Damn! Damn! Damn! Slippy lucked out, the mother fucker.
