Reader Feedback on "Caryatids"
Crisp writing, clear detail. Reminds me of Anne Mcaffrey or Mercedes Lackey--more fantasy than science fiction, same tone. Would enjoy reading more.

Caryatid : noun; -:Draped statue of a female figure used as a support(eg.a pillar) in a building). I looked up this word "Carytids" in Oxford Dictionary, and i must say -Thanks for teaching me a new word.Of course i may sound a little self depricating and seem not so smart - but hey i'm no 'George Bush' but i'm okey- in some degree of denial. I must also add- since i said much already- your piece was erotic- So erotic that i almost thought of an instant idea. How about Hollywood make a Transvestite Matrix.I bet 'Petra' could kick some A$$!

this one should be nominated for the Tiptree. Explores gender and sexuality to the max. It's great.

*awesome* character in lucius. like a young candide. ready for anything, expecially whatever the reader (the story's true trick) wants. audacious. yes, more of this world, more of christopher barzak, and more sf of this quality on Nerve.

What a fantastic story! Beautifully written too. It feels like a sequel would be no problem.I hope there'll be more Barzak on this site.

Absolutely outstanding bit of work. I read quite a bit of SF and this reminds me a little of where Greg Bear is either afraid to go, or can't get past the publisher.
