I see myself as a victim. A victim of John Hawkes' horribly stilted and awkwardly pretentious sentence construction. I read a lot more of his piece than I had intended, not because it was good or even interesting, but because I couldn't figure out why anyone would feel the need to publish something so pathetic. The style is very much the sort that gets used as filler in cheap porno magazines. Anyway, I do like your magazine, and I'll keep on reading it.
