Reader Feedback on "One, Two"
I like this one quite a lot. In my mind ambiguity=magic. It seems to me that definitions like straight/gay, healthy/unhealthy, are unrealistic and potentially harmful to individuality and expression. This piece is also well-crafted, and I found the dillema (the protagonist's fantasizing about an egg mcmuffin, while engaged in what many would consider a fantasy) to be very funny. I've seen ass and I've seen egg mcmuffins, but the author describes the latter so beautifully (and, to me, hilariously) that I had a distinct and not unpleasant olfactory memory, from the days when I wasn't so prudish when it came to my diet. Anyhow, good stuff.
