What a fascinating view of life on the webcam circuit. I'm just beginning to explore a little bit myself (male) and although i'm pretty fascinated by the voyeuristic aspect of things i don't see it as especially sexually satisfying. I find women to be relatively more voyeuristic than you indicate in your disertation but that may be timing. Thank you for being so open about it and thinking about it. While I don't have a web camera (though I do have a penis), I found the article quite interesting, particularly the last bit about re-capturing a feminist power by choosing silence as opposed to being silenced.
It would make for an intriguing follow-up to see if the willingness to masturbate for a silent audience of empowered women transcends cultural borders. I mean face it, penises (and men) are different all over...
