Reading her poetry reminds me that there is another side to sex, one I don't experience as a man. Her descriptions are riveting and honest. Nice stuff, can't wait to buy it.

I will absolutely LOVE to read Old's book. Just by reading a sample of her work I see that she has the kind of insight that I long to have. She tells about life from a whole different viewpoint. For exampe, If you see something one way, she see's it like 3. "The Tug of Another" was brilliantly written and told of how a woman wanted so badly to be wanted and loved and how she would do almost anything to have it. Personally I can't relate in that direct sense but in other ways it tells of my life. I think that is what all writers should strive for, the ability to make everyone see and feel what you do. Keep up the good work.

I have read the few samples of Sharon Olds poetry and i am very impressed. She has written what i have felt and never been able to translate so beatifully. I believe that one who can compose such remarkable poetry is blessed with talent. Thank you Sharon, for the sparkling inspiration.I will definetly be camped out in front of the book store the day of delivery, waiting for more.

Sharon Olds may be our greatest living poet of the body, of the human psyche as something inseperable from the physical world. Reading her, you wonder how anyone could even imagine a mind/body "problem."
