oh, you poor deluded woman. there are more sleazier publications out there than nerve. i don't even think this letter is valid unless you're working for 'Hustler' or collaborating with Jim Goad on an imaginary new publication. --fn 01/31 |
Perhaps I am naive..or perhaps just plain unobservant, but it seems to me that the vast majority of our pouplation here in the states prefers to pretend that sex and sexual variation simply does not exist. this is also, in my estimation, the same segment of the popluation that tries to pretend that people don't fart or belch or blow their noses. Let's face it..people actually do these things regardless of how might want them to NOT do them. So, here is the scenario..if enough of us pretend .....it isnt so. Wrong..people are still creatures of variance..it seems we contain the ability to be jsut about every variety that anyone can think up. Thanks for the great article..sorta put things out for anyone to see. --DHL 11/01 |

Emily: Smetimes reading Nerve reminds me of why I want to write. At times, it also reminds me of how my family contributed to that need, want, base desire. You reminded me of both. Thank you. ~V -- 10/27 |
I find Nerve's photography and news enjoyable, but the story concepts and executions are often, not always, characterized by a befogged self....analysis is too rigorous a word...meditation that might be bearable if it merely reached the level of solipsism. --s.h. 10/24 |
