I once attended a performance piece put on by an art historian far up in the mountains near Folsom, California...on a hot summer day in ca. 1978. As guests walked the trail into a valley at one point we began to see clothing draped over bushes alongside. Soon we began to notice people removing their clothes, and walking on. So, we removed our clothes and walked on to a meadow where the assembly convened, in a surprisingly large number. Then we were asked to walk up a long hillside in single file to the main house overlooking a lake. The entire purpose was to disrobe, walk up that hill single file, and then act as if nothing odd had occured during the pot-luck.
When people walk uphill we have the need of bending over slightly from the waist to maintain balance, so any upward glance from further down the line than lead position occasions a remarkable view of posterior varieties.
Then, we walked the same path back at different times, found our clothes and drove home.

I love Spencer Tuniks work, and I would love to pose in his nude quilt, but I live in Ashland Oregon, A.K.A Small Town U.S.A. Maybe you can do a contest to fly a person and some friends to New York to pose. Just an idea.

It's funny that people can get along so well, naked, despite the obvious symbolic overtones, something that the artistic community should be more bent upon proliferating, on a community level, people will always have their secrets, it's refreshing to see that change, great work,
