This was a great feature! I recall many of them and the infamous "Peace Little Girl (Daisy)" of 1964 went along with the mock survey of over 500 US psychiatrists in which the majority claimed that Goldwater was crazy (like the rumors about Gen Wm T Sherman, the northern Civil War leader and the scourge of the South). LBJ was not above sleaze, as he said that Sen Jack Kennedy had a 'yellow' complexion in 1960 referring to Addisons Disease. LBJ also got away with wearing a Silver Star award lapel pin, unearned and not authorized in WWII. I'm a lifetime Democrat so Obama and Biden will win Tuesday.
