Reader Feedback on "The X Factor - Premium"
I came across the Timothy Greenfield-Sanders interview after searching "Andy Warhol Abstinence" in Google. Two things struck me. First, Andy Warhol did not come up with the notion that you can be multiple things. Remember the Renaissance? Warhol might've reintroduced it to some degree, but he certainly didn't invent it. Also, I'm sure the notion was around and recognized even before the Renaissance. The comment about Bush is ridiculous. "Worst Mistake Ever? Period?" Again, Timothy's forgetting history. Vietnam was predicated on a lie (Gulf of Tonkin) as well. 50,000 plus died versus 5,000. Granted, U.S. lives lost shouldn't be the end-all be-all measure. Also, you think it's a "mistake?" Be careful when using such words. It almost absolves the Bush Administration from any malicious intent. Lastly, maybe the Iraq invasion is the "Worst Mistake Ever," but don't say, "Period." Don't get caught up in the times. Timothy seems so caught up in Timothy's world. His hero Andy Warhol invented this idea of "you can be many things." His president George Bush made the biggest "mistake" in U.S. presidential history. These absolute assertions are preposterous and Timothy's dissolution makes them possible. However, very nice photos.
