Reader Feedback on "After the Patriarchy"
Great story man. If that's the world 'after patriarchy', let's just fire all the male ceo's and bosses today. I'd be happy to go to work at that office every single day. I'd probably work overtime for free.

It's Funny how many male writers, envision a future after patriarchy that is not so different than than these very phallocentric times that we live in. jay makinnery's 9i really dont care if i misspell his name. I Am a feminist, and after reading the writings of feminists throughout the years and thinking about the writing styles of women writers, I believe that often when men write about a feminist future, or a future 'After patriarchy" they are writing under the asumption that things will be status quo as per *male thinking* male thinking is patriarchy itself and often the writings of men who purport to be feminists are themselves rife with hierarchic models and Phallocentric concepts. sorry to be so blunt. Jay your story drips with this misconception.

an impressively unimaginative story. it seems that the working assumption is that an overthrow of the patriarchy (all feminists don't have a more complex analysis than men=bad women=good.. american capitalism is irrelevant) would be one in which women would seek to replicate cliche-ridden forms of sexual harassment. the question i have is are readers supposed to find this story a) erotic (it's hot when your boss tries to force you to have sex with them against your will); b)a vision of what would happen if women took over (women are not men, so if i just change the gender pronouns in a harassment lawsuit and add some dialogue...); or c) a jab at feminism? if it's any of the above, maybe the author could read pat califia, amber hollibaugh, etc. to consider more complex ways of imagining what after the patriarchy could look like. it probably would be sexier.

tThis "after the patriarchy'story is absolute garbage. it asumes that women will behave just like men in a time and place where patriarchy is over. otherwise it is an idioticaly titled story. really garbage. The writer sounds like a guy. I by the way am a feminist guy. Gregory Salgado

As if. "Oh no, I can't, I won't, I dress for me..." As if a guy would react that way. "You want to what? OK."
