Oh and feedback to 11/26. Sorry, I don't know where you get this idea of class warfare being the liberals fault. Look at the STUPID tax breaks he gave during the time of WAR. If you can call it that. I call it the GREAT AMERICAN FUCK UP. These tax breaks benifit the rich. And please don't tell me they don't. Social Security, privitization will do NOTHING for it. Bush just uses the same lies over and over again and you believe it. He tell your typical middle class person the privitization means ownership, and since we have been opresses into a consumer society, ownership sounds great. Guess what, it will cost trillions to turn it over and there will be no real gain in the long run. We are better off spending 1% more on SS taxes. AND!!! Start taxing people for Social SEcurity who make over $90,000. I really think you Repugs are psycho. You think liberals are elitist. Don't you remember Bush saying to members of an expensive dinner "We are the haves and the have mores"? Sounds elitist to me. And who controls the repugs-the very rich, this includes corporations.
If you had a care for this country you would stop the fascism before it gets out of hand. Corporatism and fascism go hand in hand. We have so many signs that we are starting to parallel Germany in the 30's --dv 03/24 |
Oh God how NOT afraid I am to dump him. So many want him out. But he's got things sooo rigged. He should have been impeached along time ago. Look at the millions they spent over Clinton's blow job. Where is our Kenneth Starr? Why don't we have one? Because we need a new party. The Democrats have gone over to the right (except for a few, but their voices are not heard). I just hope Dean can do something now --dv 03/23 |
I read your article and some of the responces. It's no wonder the liberals are losing the elections. They don't recognise where the problem really lies. The only class war that exsist is the ones the liberals create. If you want to succeed in the US all you need do is work hard and smart. Don't do drugs or drink when you can't afford it. Don't have stupid sex, protect yourself. Go to school if you need to be smarter. I'm not trying to be a condesending, but I followed those simple rules and became very successful. I didn't have to make anyone feel bad and guilty because they worked hard and made more money than me. As far as the school system stands it's bad because of coruption and lack of accountablity. Why do private schools spend less than half on each student and have more than double the success rate. Our system is going down hill not because of Demacrats and Republicans, it's all about us we need to demand accountability! -- 11/26 |
One of the characteristics of a "certain type of American" is that they cannot EVER laugh at themselves, and anyone who does must be CRUSHED. Sadly, those Americans are now in the ascendant.
Which is just fine as long as they don't ask for help when they go into Iran, or when they look for someone to help shoulder a bit of the Chinese debt. Who wants to stand side-by-side with a country that has no sense of humour? --jmb 11/23 |
good advice, too many of us were deaf, as per usual, to our sensible neighbors. --ted 11/09 |
I'm no bleeding heart liberal, but I must say it makes me very sad to read all these irrate and ignorant responses here. Being a pragmatist, one can see the desperate state that our country is in, it's need for great reform. We are the most wealthy country in the world and our education system ranks in the 40's and is declining. Way to go, baby! That just makes me feel sexy. Protecting large corporations while not looking out for the working class is slow societal suicide. It's like using rat poison to sweeten your coffee. The ever widening gap between the classes leads to more crime, more corruption, poorer education and locks people into a system where upward mobility through the classes becomes nearly impossible. I myself am an upper middle class small business owner and understand the difficulties facing business owners, but placing the burdens on our working class is not the way to fix these problems. That will only make them worse.
Canada, continue to say what you like about us, as should the rest of the world. We are unfortunately much like a sheltered and spoiled child, and therefore often very egocentric and short sighted.
As a strait man, I'm sorry to hear that you came of the closet, or that you were in the closet in the first place. You're one sexxxy bitch. I love ya. --PLuv 11/08 |
Hey cowboys! Yeehah! You got your man... now stand up and show us how big and mighty you all are... enlist for your man today and show us all how much you _really_ support him. Afterall, he knows best and is looking out for you isn't he? If you're too afraid to fight the good fight yourselves, then you don't really trust him all _that_ much now do you? He gives as much a shit about you as you do about the kids you send to their deaths in the name of security. Is hypocracy alluded to in this article? Oh yes, but not on the part of Canada... we've taken no part in your war. Those of you who support it so strongly by voting for Bush aren't exactly signing up for the fireing squad overseas either, now are you? --CND 11/08 |
Love it. Love it. RIP Peaceful Kerry future...onto another fucking four years with Evil....I weep for my beloved country's future. -A Disapointed Patriotic American --MJ 11/06 |
That was one of the most witty, and consistantly true
set of metaphoric meanings I've ever seen written about
America's "romance" with W. Bush (and his cronies). --klh 11/06 |
I don't advise you about your "girlfriends", what makes you think I want your advice about our "man"? What makes you think I give two hoots how you feel about our "man"? Enough of the beating around the bush (no pun intended). I could care less what you, or anyone else around the world thinks about President Bush! Kerry is a liar, a border-line traitor, and has absolutely no principles whatsoever! When we sent our troops into harms way, he voted AGAINST funding them! He has voted against every major weapons system that is in use today! Those weapons systems ARE THE REASON there aren't 8,000 U.S. dead or 500,000 Iraqi dead! He met with the enemy in Paris while the Vietnam war was ongoing, and while he was still in the military. His original military discharge was NOT Honorable. He wants to raise taxes on the very people who provide the most jobs in this country. He believes that the government is better capable of handling our money than the people who earn it are. Need I continue? We can't AFFORD to have him as our President!
As for the fuel...we PAY for it, so stop acting like you're doing us a favor.

Thanks for the advice Canada. It really helped now didn't it. --DOY 11/04 |
Ok Canada, here's the deal:
Kerry wins...I stay red white & blue
Bush wins...open your loving arms, here I come baby!
Do I have to use words like "eh" or "Sacrebleu!"
Oh! Can you hook me up with a hottie like Sarah McLachlan?
A younger sister maybe!
--Sam 11/02 |
you forgot to mention that he is just a boring frat boy - shallow good looks will only get you so many dates before he ends up sitting on the couch cupping a beer in one hand and his self in the other. --es 11/02 |
I am voting for Kerry. And canada can still kiss my ass and so can you ass wipe. -- 11/01 |
Despite the eloquent writer's opinion that "Canada Should Kiss AMERICA'S ASS!", I still find myself in complete and total agreement with Canada. Spewing insults and questioning Canada's character, loyalty, moral fiber and military prowess doesn't address any of the real issues. It does, however, paint a very unflattering portrait of Bush supporters. --cc 11/01 |
Cute, witty, but overall under-educated. Sounds like Canada has been reading the Times every day for the past ten years. It is the easy decision to vote for Kerry in this election. It is the more difficult decision to realize that sticking it out with 'this asshole' is going to have the more positive long term effects. Occums razor does not apply to everything.
/Liberal sadly, painfully voting for Bush --CC 11/01 |
Excellent. This is the best piece on this subject that I have read. --svr 11/01 |
Thanks for the call Sis.
I fear, your fears are all too well founded. It's my alter ego you see, so little direction during the formative years. And then soo much sadness and not enough experience to handle it. Quite honestly, my insecurity got the better of me. Comfort becomes complacency so easily. And then fear is easy to sell. I bought it, alot.
And now yes, I do see...but.
I will try.
If I fail, please call anyway, I'll keep tying - promise.
All love.
America --JB 11/01 |
I thought it was cute, different.
The politics issue is solid. --MR 11/01 |
LMAO...fuckin-A man, fuckin-A. Hey Canada....if America wanted advice from a pussy, we'd call John Kerry. Hey Nerve, stop using your awsome site as a propaganda tool. If I wanted politic's crammed down my throat, I'd listen to Rush or Air America.....Stop It! --DMS 11/01 |
hilarious... --BM 11/01 |
Canada Should Kiss AMERICA'S ASS! Canada can sit there and be neutral because they never had anyone at their border who take them over. They sit on their freaking high horse and never take sides. They don't have to trow alot of money into it's military because The USA would clobber anyone who would make a move at them. Don't you think any country in the worl would give their left nut to get hold of and expoit the rich canadian land if they could. So fuck off canada. -- 11/01 |
love it! --jw 11/01 |
FUCK OFF --jad 11/01 |
Insincere. --afd 11/01 |
