Reader Feedback on "Republicans I Have Loved"
It's good to see author's feelings of moral superiority trimuph over any recognition of common humanity. As a long time liberal who quit the flock some time ago for some independent thought (still very dissapointed in Bush admin's lack of concern with simple competence), I'll leave the author with a saying I find contains more than some truth, "Liberals look for heretics, conservatives for converts." On a pragmatic level, Clintons as murderers is as silly as Bushhitler. Grow up and join the adults.

The image that goes with the story says "Republicans I Have Loved", but the page title says "Republicans I Have Dated". Which is it? The latter seems more appropriate, since there's not a whole lotta love in this story (and I don't mean that as a criticism).

I dated a Republican once- it was awful. There is no way in hell it could ever work out, but I am tragically still in love with her. She didn't want to break up, but I didn't want to keep playing hiding games and drinking games and hiding games. ... Plus, I found her absolutely lacking in empathy.

I have no idea how people can date people of opposite parties.
