look, i don't like the piece that much, but i'm sure this isn't careless writing. it's just highly stylized, and not everyone's cup of tea. i have to say that i liked the fill in the blanks in the middle of all the long sentences.

now, now. easy on the boy. i actually found this a lovely bit of prose, and appreciate his willingness to explore the idea of intimidation and performance anxiety outside the context of not-being-able-to-get-it-up. sex is murky and often intangible, and i can relate to the bone-chilling fear that comes from guessing another's expectations and desires.

What is this crap? You have routinely featured some great
writers here. Neal Pollack, etc. This guy should go back
to reading Faulkner and spare the rest of us the results
