I like to support writers doing their best, but this sounded like one my of my bad journal entries, only not nearly as interesting because I don't have the emotional connection to having made another bad choice myself. On the other hand, this story did remind me of how much I have to appreciate in finally having settled down and chosen a committed loving relationship over the "fun" and "adventure" of dating as many men as I want. Sucks to be her. --kkm 04/29 |
Excellent. Sharp, edgy writing that kept me engaged all the way through. Love the ending. --LO 04/27 |

hilarious and bizarre and kind of sad. although, cat people kind of drive me nuts. pretty good piece, overall! --mh 04/25 |
very real. well-written, leaves me wanting more. such a short story but somehow the author got me feeling connected to these characters, particularly the main character, in a strong way. --av 04/25 |
definitely, more by this writer please! She's great. --g.a 04/25 |
Outstanding story. Humorous and poingnant and we are all complicit to nights like this. Can't wait to read another one of Abeer's stories. --Cy 04/25 |
Maybe I'm just horny, but that doesn't sound like such bad sex to me. Definitely liked the writing and the writer, though. --JLA 04/25 |
This story was hot and weird and totally right on. I loved it. It captured San Francisco cat weirdos and unsafe sex and period sex all perfectly!!! More by this writer, please! --NB 04/25 |
This was no Joyce Maynard autobiography! So, she has casual unprotected sex, and the guy comes after a minute. And then she thinks, "Hey, now that's interesting enough to be a story!" --ml 04/25 |
