I normally don't care about the whole 'blind item' bit in a story, but this particularly nasty incident piqued my interest. So, of course I tried doing a search on old Roach Motel gigs, who they toured with, Florida shows, etc., but I couldn't dig up anything substantial. Not being a fan of chick-fronted hippie bands, I've come up blank. However, given the whole "she went on to become hugely famous" angle, I'm going with Natalie Merchant or Alanis Morrisette. And yes, I have waaaayyyy to much free time at my job.
