You sir, are...a genius. I must concur that you are truly "the Greatest Living American Writer". Everytime I peruse one of your passages, I end up in near tears. It sucks that you are not at the top of the mainstream consciousness. I also have to note that I had always fancied myself as a decent writer, and when I was introduced to your work, I found that our styles to be quite similar (however, I believe my own rhetoric to be inferior by comparison) and ever since my first reading of "Anthology", I have that same reverence for you as you do for Edmund Wilson. Keep it comin' because this world needs Neal Pollack like it needs a fresh roll of two-ply.
