Spiritual development is a ongoing process.... opening of the heart as the development of the brain bringing greater depth in understanding.... siezing a period of time as its set of beliefs ideas....( they themselves being far from the truth of their original message, rather being used by a few thus entraping the manyin gain of profit as power) The forcing of christianity upon humanity as many sets of religious beliefs ideas... being then equal to the chinese custom, amongst the upper classes to bind the feet of the child female ..the feet then becoming so deformed that the victim of such practice having to be carried on a litter.. Such with religious brainwashing it being a practice as in the binding of the brain ... its victims prisoners of set ideas beliefs of the christian church, as other religious organizations ... The original binding of the females feet was that she could not flee an arranged marriage..as then marriage used for centuries as a means to unite clans as nations thus avoid war...As binding of the brain with such religious brainwasing the masses then unable to flee being prisoners as ruled by halfbaked religious Mumbo Jumbo. The power of christianity so great that for western nations the ability to read as write held back for centuries, the church authorities feared educating the masses, they then would question religious teachings.... as challange church authority ... ((( and how right they were ))) ..... over the past two centuries millions of souls having started to free themselves from centuries of appalling abuse of power the endless brainwashing of halfbaked religious nonsense ... .. . --ww 09/25 |
I like this column and consider it smart. Smart = Sexy. Although I do agree this particular article was misleading in that it focused on Christianity. Maybe future installments can focus more on other religions. --KMS 09/10 |
i like this column. Its informative and its usually a good intro into the whatever the weekly subject is. I think the people who find it to be a waste either want to replace it with more semi-naked hipsters or something that talks about NYC or LA --DJ 08/25 |
What's the point of this? Did you guys really need to fill 2 pages in cyberspace that badly? --CSC 08/25 |
While I usually read this series with enthusiasm, I was dampened by this week's inappropriately named title. The author only discusses Christianity (and minimally, Judaism), though setting us up for a topic as vast as sex and "religion." Why not call this entry "Christianity" instead of "Religion," since you have only discussed a "dominant" Euro-American religion? At a time when John McCain has declared Iran an enemy state because they "don't share our Judeo-Christian values," these distinctions are more socially and politically important than ever. --mmg 08/25 |
I don't know how this column is still considered a regular. --ABE 08/25 |
