thanks for the fair comments. the media rarely paints followers of Christ positively or very normal...instead we are often portrayed at threating, judgmental sheep. lamw dallas tx
ps: if you want to read a thirty something Christian who talks about christian doubt- pick up the book Blue Like Jazz... God bless. --lamw 06/13 |
I enjoyed this article... Nerve may have started out as a place for literate smut but it obviously moved beyond that, when it started featuring reviews and interviews about movies and books. Was last week's article about foodies smut? What about that article about the East Village rock scene? No... --PB 06/13 |
Why would you even give a platform to this author? And what does whis have to do with sex? "There's not a lot of liberal politics in America?" This idiot makes it sound like everybody in the country listens to Christian Rock (an oxymoron, by the way, and the dregs of the dregs of musical genres). I live in the middle of bible-belt, red-state America and I don't know anyone over the age of 14 who listens to Christian rock. On the other hand, even my red-neck town has a nice little minority population of liberals, as well as a bunch of moderates. I think the Nerve editors are slipping to even include articles like these. What happened to "literate smut"? This is neither literate or smutty. --MRM 06/13 |
