Fox News claims hipsters are Osama Bin-Laden sympathizers, destroying America

In an article posted on Fox News' website titled "The Trouble with Hipsters," correspondent and "comedian" Steven Crowder takes hipster bashing to a new level. Those bearded youth aren't just making noisy music, they're destroying America.
"If you were to ask the modern hipster, he… I mean she… Sorry, IT is likely under the impression that Usama Bin Laden is wearing skinny jeans in his cave, currently listening to Animal Collective as he throws back cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Certainly Al Qaeda shares a common bond with the trust-fund jackass, bobbing his head at the Vampire Weekend concert."
Nailed 'em! According to Crowder, the problem is the "subliminal indoctrination" often bred by "college and faux-alternative entertainment," stating if it weren't for these things, and people like Noam Chomsky, "terrorists would have no young American sympathizers to call their own." He concludes his argument/rant/nonsensical bullshit with the following profundity:
"It seems to me that at one point in our country’s history, young people adopted fashion styles that would come back to haunt them decades later. Today, young people are increasingly adopting fashionable philosophies that could hurt the world for decades to come."
The sheer strength of Bill O'Reiley's pride-boner must be magnificent.

Noone likes hipsters but this is a bit much...
threat to fashion sense and good taste? Sure. Threat to national security? Not nearly ironic enough.
i want to hack into that teleprompter and write something positive and nice for Bill to say - he's rich tool making money on spewing hate; that's much more "unpatriotic" than having a beard and wearing skinny jeans...

A generation or two ago, Mr Crowder would have been labeling his targets Communist sympathizers instead of Terrorist sympathizers. Not much else would have been different. The more things change, the more they remain the same.

I love it when right-wingers hold up Noam Chomsky as the personification of left-wing evil. Makes more people Google him and find out what all the fear is about...and then eventually realize the man is braver than any talking head, and more intelligent than any politician. There's a good reason he's the most cited living author in America, yet completely ignored by the political media machine, and that's fear of the truth.

It isn't that hipsters awful scarves, pants, glasses, hair, hygeine, grammer, or taste are destroying America, it is their complete lack of understanding or appreciation of true liberty; they abuse the liberty they are blessed with while they tirelessly winge to strip it from the fabric of society. Read George Orwell's Animal Farm. Hipsters are the puppies that were taken away (by the Federated Teacher's Union). Ask any hipster about any topic and you can predict the answer; it will be patently wrong on every possible level. If hipsters aren't terrorist sympathizers, why, if you pay close attention to any protest that they are able to afford the time to indulge themselves in, do you spot symbols of anti-semitism? Why does their outrage at 'corporations, wa wa wa' (is Apple included in incoherent liberal diatribe?) always need to include Arafat-esque scarves tied over their faces? If they are not terrorist sympathizers why do they prefer their news from Al Jazerra over Fox News? Which do you think Osama preferred?
