These are the real explicit lyrics.
When it comes to getting that authentic feel to songs, musicians aren't above going to a set of railroad tracks, recording the screams of children on a playground, or jingling through a cash register to get just the right sound. So, it shouldn't be any surprise to learn that for some of the most beloved and notorious love songs, some artists and their trusted friends got down to the act itself. Here are five tracks where either the musicians themselves or their engineers have owned up to creating some on-site sexy sound effects.
1. "Follow Me Down" by The Pretty Reckless
Your gothic junior prom date/Hey isn't that Little J from Gossip Girl, Taylor Momsen, recruited former porn star Jenna Haze to lend an orgasm for her track "Follow Me Down." Of the vocal contribution, Momsen explains that it's one of a kind, so "don't go looking for that on the Internet."
2. "Rocket Queen" by Guns N' Roses
For a love ballad filled with bravado, Axl Rose was looking to record a sex act for the bridge. During the mixing sessions in New York, Rose was accompanied by Adriana Smith, who was drummer Steven Adler's girlfriend at the time. Steve Thompson, an engineer explained, "Axl wanted some pornographic sounds on Rock Queen, so he brought a girl in and they had sex in the studio. We wound up recording about 30 minutes of sex noises. If you listen to the break on Rocket Queen, it's in there." The drummer? He was none too pleased.
3. "Je t'aime…moi non plus" by Serge Gainsbourg/Brigitte Bardot
The single wasn't released until 19 years after it was recorded, because then-married Brigitte Bardot protested against the erotic song's release. According to legend, Brigitte Bardot begged her boyfriend Serge Gainsbourg to write the most beautiful love song in the world, so, in typical Gainsbourg fashion, he came up with an imaginary conversation between two lovers during sex. The song was recorded in a two-hour block in Paris in a small glass booth where engineer William Flageollet reported there was "heavy petting" going on. Gainsbourg went on to record an equally as graphic single with Jane Birkin, his next love interest.
4. "Sweet Son of a Bitch" by The Afghan Whigs
The sexy grooves of The Afghan Whigs' 1965 album were made complete when the band sampled pornography and put it on a loop for the seductive and disturbing track, "Sweet Son of a Bitch."
5. "Pause 4 Porno" by Dr. Dre
In perhaps one of the most graphic sex scenes ever recorded for a song, American porn star Jake Steed was tapped by Dr. Dre to have sex with two women on his track "Pause 4 Porno" on his album 2001. The result is so in-your-face you can almost see it play before your eyes.
