Angelina Jolie's dress at the 2012 Academy Awards inspired dozens of parodies and its own Twitter feed. All joking aside though, look at that leg. Look at who it's attached to. What's so funny again?
Jessica Paré's performance of "Zou Bisou Bisou" on Mad Men was arresting, sexy, awkward, and the only thing people could talk about for days afterwards. Our runner-up from Mad Men? Don and Joan flirting at the bar. The choice was almost impossible.
Anne Hathway's not-Catwoman was one of the few elements of Christopher Nolan's overstuffed, over-hyped Dark Knight Rises that wasn't completely sexless or joyless. And it was much more fun to drool over images of her costume than Tom Hardy's.
Jennifer Lawrence had a better 2012 than nearly anybody. (Except maybe the "Gangnam Style" guy.) Of the barrage of glam-mag photo shoots she weathered, we love this one from Vogue because it's sexy without being overly-so and still gets at the toughness she showed in her roles in Winter's Bone and The Hunger Games.
Frank Ocean's Channel Orange is already popping up on a bunch of year-end "Best Of" lists, and with good reason. But 2012 also saw Ocean publicly announce his bisexuality to the notoriously homophobic hip-hop world, and for that, as well as his, um, handsomeness, we're putting him on here.

The Summer Olympics offered no shortage of beautiful bodies being contorted into wonderful shapes, and this one was just one of our favorites.
Sometimes we wish we cared about anything as much as Europeans care about soccer. These two are making a goal seem like the toppling of a dictator. Which is awesome.

You may have heard of Kate Upton over the past twelve months. She looks like this.
Chris Kluwe is the Minnesota Viking's punter and an outspoken gay-rights activist who got all kinds of publicity in September for a profane letter written in response to Maryland state delegate Emmet C. Burns Jr. telling the Baltimore Ravens to "order" linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo to stop advocating for gay marriage. He's also a World of Warcraft nut and bassist for prog-rock band Tripping Icarus. We're in love. How about you?
Skyfall was released this fall, and it was incredible. This image is a perfect distillation of the film brooding's sexuality and Daniel Craig's continuing excellence as Bond.
This is French soccer player Olivier Giroud's way of thanking teammate Mathieu Debuchy for an assist. Debuchy was less than thrilled, but we love it.
Following the President around the White House is exciting, but it doesn't get sexy until he runs into his wife on her birthday unexpectedly and reminds us that our First Couple is still very much in love.

Dubbed "The Marseilles Kiss," this images features two young women who happened to want to kiss each other at a marriage equality protest in Marseilles, France. We support their decision.
Proving that the naked body is infinitely more expressive than posterboard, this streaker expresses his displeasure with austerity measures in Athens.
