This Fascinating Photo Series Expands the Way We Think of Sexual Identities

What defines you?

San Francisco-based freelance photographer Sarah Deragon released her first personal photography project this January, inspired by her own personal journey of coming out publicly. The Identity Project celebrates diversity within sexual identities and showcases personal gender identification apart from the typical straight male-female dichotomy we normally see. Deragon continues to shoot dozens of LGBTQ residents in the Bay Area to expand the spectrum of identities she represents within her work. "This project reminds us that we're always growing and changing. Finding words that resonate with who we are or what we're attracted to is powerful," she said on her site.

Sarah is actively seeking participants for the project and volunteers can sign up to participate on her website. Check out some of the fascinating photos below.
