Sex O'Clock is that sweet spot right between getting primped and a resigned Seamless order.
"Sex O'Clock," though generally not accepted by military or standard time purists, is apparently an hour in the week that actually exists. According to a new survey by sex toy slingers Love Honey, 7:37 p.m. on a Saturday night is the most common time of the week to get down on it.
Why the highly specific time of 7:37 p.m. on the dot? Nobody's working, you're probably still at home doing that will-I-or-won't-I going out dance, holding your mascara wand in one hand and a tortilla chip in the other. Your hair is done, but you're only half-dressed. By 7:26 p.m. what couple wants to agree to put on pants on a non-holiday weekend when there is a queen-sized bed with a new mattress pad just whispering, "Stay innnn?" When you think about it, Sex O'Clock is just the sweet spot right between getting primped and a resigned Seamless order for steamed dumplings.
The funny part is that, according to the survey, the horniest time of day is actually 4:33 p.m. on a Saturday, but due to work constraints and perhaps the unflattering late afternoon light, we hold out for another three hours. Which works out because a 7:37 game time still leaves enough room for foreplay, a Fruit Roll-Up, and catching the latest poorly reenacted follies of Sex Sent Me To The ER.
