What were you thinking when you got dressed this morning?
I was keeping the heat in mind, and I like this shorts. I'm not crazy about my outfit; I'm going to go take a dog to the park. I got these shorts at Salvation Army. Someone gave this top to me, and my shoes are from a thrift store in Indiana
What were you doing out there?
I went to school there, and I visit people every now and then and go thrift store shopping there.
What are some fashion trends you see on the streets that rub you the wrong way?
Very, very high shoes, platform shoes. I'm not so crazy about them. And all of the floral prints, but I think that's kind of over, but not really.
What about for guys?
I don't really pay attention. If a guy looks good, he looks good. I'm all about classic looks — a white t-shirt and jeans.
What's the worst outfit you've ever worn?
I have a lot. I really like ugly clothes. I love old lady shoes. Basically orthopedic shoes. My friends are always like "I hate what you're wearing. Why are you wearing that?"
If you were going out for a night on the town and wanted to look real sexy, what would you wear?
I like to wear loose, flowy things. I'd wear a romper or a kind of short and flowy dress.
Where do you go out?
I like to go to shows mostly. I saw Teen Girl Fantasy last night. It was really dancy. I danced a little.
What kind of dances did you do?
Nothing too ridiculous.

Alana seems like the kind of girl who likes to keep things at "medium."
Thrift shops are so over. Buying brand new clothes and burning old clothes is so now.
A girl who is not a fashion victim! One who thinks for herself! Who does not judge on clothes! And she is attractive, and humorous, and appealing because of that - and her naturally good looks. She is a keeper!
Oh, and Polly? thrift shops are never over, except for the delusional nitwits who thought it was a trend, something to go to Ibeza, or the local mall in the town by the highway stop, wearing thrift clothing to show off some bizzare trendiness. Try emulating this girl; you could learn something.
Found: a pair of 90's Nine West oxfords - chocolate brown leather and very similar to what Ally McBeal might wear with a mini-skirt suit. Where: North Indianapolis Salvation Army...by some hotel that resembles a pyramid. There's truly something to the things those Hoosiers throw out. And speaking of throwing out, Polly please get your head out of your ass. I'm sure most of what you buy new is derivative of something now found in a thrift store - and HB here is going to find it, rock it, and still have plenty left for some overpriced jack and coke. Thrift stores are never over.
