Happy Hour: Your Own Private Oktoberfest

Scanner recently told us that most women prefer drunk sex, and if that’s the case, then this weekend is the perfect opportunity to try your luck. The final days of Oktoberfest are upon us, but you don’t need to fly to Munich to enjoy all the perks, beer-wise and otherwise.

For your at-home drinking pleasure, here are some of this year’s best and brewiest Oktoberfest beers:

[$10 for six, BevMo]

A dark amber with hints of raisin and caramel, Paulaner manages to be light, drinkable, and incredibly tasty all at once.

[$13 for 12, BevMo]

Spaten is Munich’s original brewery (and brewer of the world’s first Oktoberfestbier), and BevMo’s cases include a variety of its labels, including the especially delicious Bavarian Marzen.

[$8 for six, BevMo]

Lowenbrau is about as old school as it gets when it comes to Oktoberfest beer, in large part because it adheres to the Bavarian Purity Law — a rule that dictates beer should be made with only water, hops, and barley.

[$2 for 16oz, BevMo]

Malty and bittersweet, Hacker-Pschorr is best drunk with a meal, so it presents the perfect time to serve up some true Bavarian cuisine.

No matter how you celebrate your own personal Oktoberfest, I definitely recommend equal parts beer and nookie.
