Lucie on H&M, The Buffalo Exchange, and Mary Kate Olsen

Lucie interviewed by Nerve.com's style blog
What's your name and where are you from?

My name is Lucie and I'm from St. Louis, Missouri.

How long have you been in New York?
I've been here about three years.

Can you walk us through what you're wearing?
I'm wearing a vest that's kind of colorful from a thrift store called Buffalo Exchange. This tank top is from H&M. I don't know where these jeans are from. I think they're my sister's. They're just cut-offs and these are fringe boots that are tan from Buffalo Exchange as well.

What kind of trends are you liking right now?

I like it when both guys and girls wear things that don't seem to be from the right era or time period and they mix it in with stuff that's modern. Like when someone wears a vintage shirt worn with skinny jeans. Really anything vintage mixed with modern.

What don't you like?
For whatever reason, I don't like flare jeans. I don't like white sneakers. I don't like anything that's over-styled with too many trends at once.

If some guy asked you out, what's something that he could be wearing that'd make you turn him down?
Probably - this sounds weird - but those cargo shorts from Abercrombie and Fitch.

If you were determined to have a one-night stand, what would you wear?
I would wear something casual because I'm not really the kind of girl that wants to be showy. I guess I'd wear skinny jeans and a tank top and some type of cool boots.

If you ended up back at some one's apartment, what's one thing that would make you flee?

Some kind of drug paraphenalia, like a crack pipe.

What's something that would make you stay?

A really cool comfy blanket, like a big quilt, or a good DVD collection.

Who's someone that you would think of a style icon?
This is weird, but I like Russell Brand's style, his street style. And I know people are going to hate me or say this is horrible, but Mary-Kate Olsen just because people always say she looks like a troll, but I think that she wears what she wants and that's cool.

Oh man, I just fell in love with Lucy. Hot, fashionable, creative, and down to earth. The total package. Agreed on flare jeans as well.

Buffalo Exchange is NOT a thrift store. The jeans are still 20-30 bucks, the shirts a minimum of 10, and while they say they're "designer", they're mostly just overpriced H&M type shit leftovers. And this is in los angeles.
