I’m sorry, but the Megan Foxes and Kim Kardashians of the world don’t do it for me. My girl crushes are based on characters more down to Earth, yet also seemingly unattainable in their own way. If you are unfamiliar with any of these actors, check them out in the flicks below and get ready to fall in love! (All these movies also make good date flicks too.) And, in no particular order: 1) Audrey Tautou – Amelie Sweet, hopeless romantic that arranges a scavenger hunt for the guy of her dreams.
2) Michelle Williams – The Baxter
Williams’ character is shy, awkward, and reads the dictionary.
3) Julie Delpy – Before Sunrise and Before Sunset
Julie Delpy is a neurotic, French woman who meets a charming American (played by Ethan Hawke) on the train. In this scene they are listening to Kath Bloom’s "Come Here" while their eyes wander the room. Cute!

4) Heather Graham – Swingers
Though only in the movie for a little bit, Graham swing dances her way with Favreau into the audience’s hearts and gets that the duck on his card is a reference to "You Bet Your Life".
5) Winona Ryder – Reality Bites
Hottest 90s alternative star, for sure. One of my favorite scenes is when she’s fumbling with Ben Stiller’s Dr. Zaius toy, drops it (breaking the head), and gets all flustered. Unfortunately, this isn’t that scene, but also a very good one:
6) Zooey Deschanel – Elf, 500 Days of Summer
To be honest, I’m not even a huge fan. She’s just here because I’d be crucified for not having her on a list of cute, awkward, quirky girls.
So there you have it! Whether you want to expand your horizons past the typical Hollywood bombshells and trainwrecks or need a good flick to watch with a date, you’re all set with one-way tickets for two to Cute City.
