If a little indie lovin’ is what you’re looking for, you’ve got to have the right soundtrack. That’s where Sympathy for the Record Industry comes in.
I was doing some post T-Day decompression (in other words, cleaning my apartment and listening to old records) this past weekend when I came across a long-forgotten copy of The Detroit Cobras. One record flip and half a can of Endust later, I was smitten all over again.
Basically, Sympathy for the Record Industry became best-known for discovering the White Stripes, but its catalogue is pretty freakin’ deep. Whether your indie jam is old punk rock or new punk hip hop, you’re likely to find it at SftRI.
And really, any music that makes cleaning feel hot can definitely add some spice to your love life.
