Whether you like it or not, James Franco is publishing his first novel, which was just picked up by Amazon. Apparently unfazed by the tepid reviews for his 2010 collection of short stories Palo Alto, the actor/soap opera star/grad student/artist/writer/object of obsessive media attention is moving forward with the unfortunately titled Actors Anonymous.
As you probably guessed, the novel is more or less a fictionalized version of Franco's life as an actor, which is the only thing you'd really expect James Franco to write a novel about. It's hard to begrudge someone for putting in the effort to write an entire novel, but unless Actors Anonymous also happens to be filled with juicy information about other famous people, this sounds like sort of a yawn. Prove me wrong, Franco!
