Everyone's second-favorite Blues Brother, Dan Aykroyd, has found himself the victim of a massive liquor heist, in which thieves made off with over 21,000 bottles of the actor's signature Crystal Head Vodka, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, from a warehouse in California. Aykroyd launched the company, along with Newfoundland Liquor Corp., back in 2008. Trading off his Ghostbusters role, Aykroyd concocted a crazy, paranormal marketing pitch around some legend of thirteen crystal heads supposedly of extraterrestrial origin, as well as that Indiana Jones movie. The vodka is triple-filtered through Herkimer diamond crystals and features a slight liquorice finish.

Aykroyd took the news of the theft surprisingly well. He saw the silver lining of the potential advertising angle, saying, "My partners and I are sorry to lose this much vodka to theft and do not condone criminal activity in any fashion, but we are happy that some consumers will be afforded the opportunity of tasting it at significantly-lower-than-retail price. CHV can be purchased legally at bars, restaurants, and retail stores throughout North America." The LAPD and ATF are currently investigating, and, besides rapper parties, they may want to check out head shops for clues, judging by the video below.
