Airport security touched Miss USA's vagina four times

Just when annoying stories about TSA pat-downs were starting to fade, 2003 Miss USA and former TRL VJ Susie Castillo released a video of herself in an airport crying and saying that an airport security worker "touched [her] vagina four times." Yikes!

Fearing radiation from body scanners, Castillo opted for a pat down at the Dallas/Fort Worth International airport for a recent flight, and let's just say it didn't go well. Check out the above clip, where Castillo drops the following bombshells:

"I'm really, really upset that as an American I have to go through this. And I do feel violated. I didn't think that I would when I had to opt out of the machine, but I completely feel violated. This woman, she touched my vagina four times.

[...]

Drug smugglers, sometimes, I've heard, they put drugs up their rectum. So what happens when a bomber or somebody, a terrorist, puts something up their rectum? Are we going to get rectal exams? What's next?"

What indeed. Now, not to distract from her potentially traumatic experience and the definitely ridiculous practices of the TSA, but can someone please explain the single, collarbone-length, feathers-and-bandana earring she's wearing in the clip? Seriously, I've watched it four times now and it's still unclear.

fuck her, and every one else. they made these pat downs possible after september 11 by bitching and crying about how unsafe they felt. Now that the TSA has clamped down, every cock sucker and they're brother is bitching about how they feel violated. You asked for it America, and now you got what you wanted, so shuty the fyuck up all ready.

You're a pathetic joke of a man.... LEARN WHAT IS HAPPENING TO AMERICA!!! LEARN HISTORY!!! OR, are you ok with getting your cavities searched just to get on a plane? NONE OF THESE TACTICS MAKE ANY OF US SAFE FROM ANYTHING!!!! THEY DON'T WORK! THEY DON'T WORK! THEY DON'T WORK! THEY DON'T WORK!!!! THIS IS TRAINING!!! UNDERSTAND THAT!!! UNDERSTAND!!!

'...I'd rather be patted down than be blown up...' (sweet airport volunteer lady)

Umm, they shouldn't be considered the only choices. I know far, far too many people do consider it an either/or proposition, and if that were truly the case, I would certainly agree that a pat down is better than exploding. But there are other choices.

We need to stop rolling over and meekly let the TSA hand down these ridiculous over-the-top 'regulations' that are violating the average traveler and not doing squat otherwise.

They aren't the only choices. Sure, if you make the *choice* to fly (which IS a choice), then you have to put up with the TSA's "over-the-top 'regulations.'" If you don't want to be subject to the current airport security measures, then travel by car, by bus, by train, by boat, etc. If you really feel like you're being violated/groped/sexually assaulted every time you go through a scanner or get patted down (which, again, was a choice made by miss Castillo), one might imagine that its would be worth the extra time and effort. Bottom line: the TSA is not a government agency but rather a privately-owned one.

@GOLDEN! So what do we do NOW, THAT TSA is at the Bus/train stations, and putting up illegal checkpoints on the highways!? WHAT ARE MY "CHOICES"... these scanners are dangerous to the health of the public and tsa workers, and the pat-downs are useless in keeping us "safe" from terrorist attack. But, who cares... just deal with it, right? After all, it's a "choice" to travel in this so called free country now... sorry, im going to go with common sense, freedom and understanding on this one... im going to do a lot of homework on the subjects and get a really good understanding of what's really going on here and now that i have my answer to you... Bottom line: TSA is a psychological operation and completely fails in keeping our country "safe" from anything. You have more of a chance from dieing from a bee attack then a terrorist attack, should we have tsa rounding up all the bees or out on the streets and parks with nets catching all the bees so we don't get stung? USE CRITICAL THINKING AND COMMON SENSE!!!! UNDERSTAND THE WORLD AROUND YOU!!!! BUT ASIDE YOUR MANUFACTURED FEAR AND SEE THE WORLD FOR IT'S TRUE REALITY...AND FOR GOD SAKES, STOP WATCHING TELEVISION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Susie - please use some of the 'scholarship' money from your pageant proceeds to learn where one's VAGINA is located prior to expousing upon it being violated.

Dear Mr. or Ms. Parkbench - "Expousing"? It is poor form when condemning others' use of language to pull Palinesque made up words out of your nethers.

1.if a terrorist or drug smuggler put something up there rectum, they would be able to see it... In the body scanner.
2. she feels that she shouldn't have to go through this because she's an American. So, if she were from Asia, Europe, Africa or anywhere else it would be okay?
3. As for the radiation in the body scanners? it amounts to about the same as talking on your cell phone.
=
She doesn't know what she is talking about, and although I can't begrudge her for feeling upset if she genuinely felt violated, her complaints are a lot less credible because she's so ignorant of what she's talking about.

yo SJ it is wayyy more radiation then from talking on your cell phone

@SJ - Sorry, the scanners would NOT see something secreted in a body cavity. The AIT does not penetrate the skin.

Seems Miss America might not be the only one who doesn't know what he/she's talking about.

I would rather get groped in the vag than accept an unregulated, unstudied dose of radiation administered by a TSA agent operating a machine that is without any secondary regulation. Why do you think the pilots got together and resisted going through these? There is no guarantee these machines are safe.

That's just SO fucking wonderful for all of you that say you'd be fine with letting a total stranger put their hands on you. Really, that is just SO, so great. Can I also say how considerate it was of you to get past your own ignorance and acknowledge the sexual assault survivors that fucking exist in this world and what it's like for them to go through this process at airports. Oh man, and the victim-blaming; SO FUCKING COOL. I totally appreciate you taking the time to completely trivialize someone else's experience of feeling violated. And to the the author of this article, hey, I'm sure that you are a literary genius that just doesn't have time to make complex decisions - like whether or not it's totally shitty to critique someone's outfit while they explain how they were just groped by some asshole.

As someone whose been sexually assaulted on a number of occasions, I personally am more concerned with how lightly words like "sexually assaulted" and "groped" are thrown around with regards to this subject.

ALN

Then you should concern yourself with just about every other comment (excluding 3 from the 28 that were left in regards to this article). The implication that I've somehow "thrown" around the words sexual assault is kind of ridiculous when I blatantly criticized others for not respecting how those experiences impact their victims psychologically. Furthermore, I'm sorry for what you've gone through. If you felt triggered by my words (although I don't know why you would single my comment out considering the content of some of the others), then I apologize.

May 02 11 - 5:24pm
PDXY

I did not intend to imply that you were throwing those words around but in retrospect I see that I was being a bit vague. I meant that any time someone has a negative experience with the TSA and wants to capitalize on it by sending a video of them being patted down whilst crying hysterically (or discussing their "molestation"), they call it "molestation" or "sexual assault," which seems to make light of an otherwise extremely serious matter. Getting patted down, for some, might feel invasive, but it seems as if it is in poor taste to liken said experience to being sexually abused. I did not feel triggered or upset by your words, and I genuinely appreciate your concern. I also did not mean to attack you - you were simply the only person that talked about sexual assault survivors.
